Welded Neck Styles

Part of making your putter as custom and unique as you are is by changing your neck style to adjust to your putting style. There are many options available to adjust your putter to match your stroke type. By changing the hosel, you can change how the putter feels with different weighting, balance, alignment, toe flow, toe hang, and handedness for lefty golfers!  We always suggest doing your own research before customizing your putter with a welded neck, but here are few common questions we get asked.

Plumber’s Neck: Slight to moderate toe hang, best for slight arc or straight stoke, stable feel/square at impact, defined offset and clear top line make it easier to aim.

Flow Neck: Moderate to strong toe hang, best for moderate to strong arc stroke, smoother/softer feel with a natural release, less offset with a more elegant curved look.

Slant Neck: Moderate to hang, best for slight to moderate stroke type, nice balance between a flow neck and plumbers neck for a smooth yet stable feel, mild offset for a more modern compact set up.

Long Neck: Near face balanced with minimal toe hang, best for straight stroke, very stable with little rotation for a solid feel, taller hosel for a more upright visual set up.

Center Shaft: No toe hang, true face balanced, best for straight-back straight-through stoke, extremely stable with minimal rotation, simple set up with a centered look as shaft enters directly into head with no hosel.

Zero Torque: No toe hang, best for any stroke as the face stays square naturally with an ultra stable feel, modern visual look with the face forward or a center axis design to promote straight aim.
